on 2009-12-15I got my Ped Egg off Ebay and I bless the day I got it.
I do not have very rough feet for someone my age, but I am just starting to get the rough edge on my heels. I use it a couple of times a week and combined with a foot cream from "foot Works" I have nice smooth feet at all times.
The only reason I use it twice a week is because I notice eventually after a few days, the heel skin gets teeny tiny sparsely scattered burr like "Scales"? They catch on my blanket at the foot of the bed and it "bothers" me.
I do get "winded" and my arms get tired from all the back & forth scraping, but I am obese, so that is MY problem there. Darn Gut is in the way. So I just lay on the bed watching TV and cross one leg over a bent knee and scrape away.
But do put a towel under you. If you move the Ped Egg in a position where the Blades are slightly sideways or pointing slightly down, the "POWDER RESIDUE" will escape out the blade.
It is amazing how much "Residue" I get from my slightly hardened heel edges. I cannot imagine how much "STUFF" this Handy Dandy Little Scrapper collects from really heavily calloused feet.
I would recommend this amazing little tool to anyone that wants a professional "PEDICURE" right in the privacy of your own home. Just use a nice smelling foot cream afterwards and you will feel like a million dollar baby.
I think the blades might need to be replaced at least once a month or so for Heavy Users. I noticed mine are getting a bit dull after 3 months of twice a week use.
Oh and the Sand Paper finishing touch is great, but does not last long at all. And God forbid if the edge catches and peels back as you are using it. It will NEVER STICK to the Ped Egg for very long again. That is a pain. I think they should give you twice as many of the sandpaper finish with each Refill Blade Kit.
Otherwise... this gets 5 stars from me.

on 2009-04-12I bought this, and it has amazing reviews. Was surprised at the results. It hardly works at all. I'm used to using a razor to peel off old skin (which is fast!) and then a file. This works waaaaay better than the Pedegg. You could spend all night filing your feet with this. However, in combination with the aforementioned tool, it works well. But so would any file.

on 2008-12-12I am a big fan of the Ped Egg products. I have a job where I'm walking around most of the day, and I tried all sorts of things to decrease the obvious wear on the feet without much success. This product has worked really well with making feet look nice really easily and safely. My only warning is that I would recommend to use it over a towel or tub because not 100% of the filings get caught by the case.
